BEGINNERS: NEW START

For students completely new to yoga or new to the Iyengar method.  

Over the course of 6-8 weeks or more, poses (asanas) will be taught to develop strength, stamina, balance, and flexibility.  

This will give you a sound grounding in Iyengar yoga.

Beginners : New Start classes follow on from one another during the Block so you can only book for the full Block.

 


This is a studio class at The Edinburgh Iyengar Yoga Centre. Classes are booked online up to an hour before the start of the class.

Please do not come to a class at the Centre without booking. We are sorry but there are no spaces for last a minute "Drop In".

All the equipment you need is at the Centre but you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer.

I feel lucky to have discovered Iyengar Yoga whilst a student in Edinburgh in my late teens.  From the start I loved its precision and focus on alignment, and the energy and strength it gave me.  

Years later Iyengar Yoga continues to be a central part of my life.  I regularly attend classes at Bruntsfield and workshops with visiting teachers.  

I gained my Level 1 teaching certificate in 2020 and am now very excited to be able to share my love of yoga with others.
