GENERAL: MODERATELY PACED

A class for new or continuing students who are older or have health problems which affect their yoga practice.

It is also suitable for students who are recovering from illness or injury, or anyone who prefers to practise at their own pace.  

Poses will be practised so you improve posture and balance and gain strength and mobility.

 


This is a studio class at The Edinburgh Iyengar Yoga Centre. Classes are booked online up to an hour before the start of the class.

Please do not come to a class at the Centre without booking. We are sorry but there are no spaces for last a minute "Drop In".

All the equipment you need is at the Centre but you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer.

When I first started practising yoga more than 20 years ago, I was young, fit and flexible and the poses came very easily. Things have changed quite a bit with the years but yoga means more to me now than ever. Yoga has helped me make the best of life’s challenges and allowed me to do things I never thought possible, such as studying at the Iyengar institute in India. I love teaching students of all ages, shapes and sizes. That’s one of the joys of Iyengar yoga – it is accessible to all and can benefit everyone
